Patient-voice layer — method and ethics

This layer synthesizes public, aggregate evidence about living with neuropathic pain. It is not a collection of identifiable stories.

Method

  1. Prefer peer-reviewed qualitative studies and publicly accessible organization materials.
  2. Separate thematic presence from prevalence.
  3. Require at least two sources per cross-condition theme.
  4. Paraphrase; any quotation must be ≤15 words and attributed.
  5. Record geography, language and selection limits.

Ethics

  • Public sources only; no private groups or direct messages.
  • No names or identifying details of private individuals.
  • Themes are aggregated and potentially distressing material is not sensationalized.
  • Organization listing does not imply endorsement.
