Organization landscape¶
Myelopathy.org is the only retrieved organization centered specifically on degenerative cervical myelopathy. Lumbar stenosis is represented through broader spine or back-pain bodies. This asymmetry matters: DCM has a named patient community tied to outcome-set and education research, whereas lumbar patient advocacy is diffuse across pain, aging, mobility and surgical-decision organizations.
Verification caveats¶
- HTTP availability verifies that the site was reachable, not governance quality, independence or accuracy of every page.
- Myelopathy.org and National Spine Health Foundation include patient stories; this knowledge base does not copy identifying details.
- EUROSPINE is a professional society, included only because it maintains a dedicated patient-information line.
- QASA and Spinal Cord Injury Canada primarily address traumatic injury; their relevance is disability access and peer support after neurological impairment, not degenerative-stenosis evidence.
