Ocular melanoma specifically

Ocular Melanoma UK (above) was the only dedicated ocular-melanoma organisation whose site returned a verified live page in this build. Two further ocular-melanoma organisation URLs were attempted and did not return a verified page on 2026-09-01; they are not listed rather than listed unverified. This is an absence recorded on a date, not evidence that no such organisations exist.

What is not represented here

  • No organisation in this list is based in Africa, South America, South Asia, East Asia or the Middle East. Searches in this build were English-language and returned English-language sites. Given that melanoma incidence is lowest and mortality-to-incidence ratios highest in exactly those regions (Wang 2025, PMID 39682020; Oh 2026, PMID 42502459), this is a significant gap in the directory rather than a reflection of need.
  • No acral- or mucosal-melanoma-specific organisation was located, despite these subtypes accounting for a far larger share of melanoma diagnoses in non-White populations (Brunsgaard 2023, PMID 35533771).
  • No evaluation of any organisation's activity on an outcome was located in the published literature searched here. Awareness-campaign evaluation is an evidence gap, not a settled matter.
